Terms and Conditions

The Client agrees that they accept the conditions of the agreement when deposit is paid.

DEPOSIT AND BOOKING:

  • We will take a £50 deposit upon booking that will be deducted from final payment. If a deposit is not placed your date is not held, it is a first come first serve basis.
  • Final payment will be required a minimum of 24 hours before your visit date. Final payments not received by this time will result in the cancellation of the visit with no exception and your deposit will not be refunded.
  • All prices are subject to change, however prices quoted at the time of booking will always be honoured. We may require an additional charge for Petrol funds if your booking takes place far from our base area. This will be discussed with you upon booking.

CANCELLATION:

  • Cancellations can be made by the customer and:
    • If the visit date is MORE than FOURTEEN days away, your deposit and any additional payments received toward the basic visit will be refunded *.
    • If you have passed that timeframe then your deposit will be forfeited however any additional payments toward the basic visit will be refunded *.

NOTE: *If your visit is bespoke and additional costumes/gifts/accessories etc have been purchased to facilitate your request then these additional costs will NOT be refunded upon cancellation.

  • TR Mascots reserves the right to cancel your booking at any time, for any reason. We will always try to give as much notice as possible and will always provide a valid reason for cancellation.
    • Upon any such cancellation we will refund the full amount that’s been paid in respect of the party booking.
    • The refund will be done within 7 days from notice of cancellation.
    • We will try our hardest to not cancel by outsourcing our actors or contacting other companies on your behalf.
    • TR Mascots will not be liable to pay any compensation to the Client or any other person for any loss, damage or expenditure arising directly or indirectly from the cancellation.
    • TR Mascots reserves the right to terminate the booking without notice if there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions.

POSTPONE:

  • You must contact us before 24 hours of the booked date and time to inform us of postponement.
    • If you pass the 24 hour mark then a 15% late notice fee is required.
    • We are aware that emergencies/sickness happens and can be lenient however we ask for as much time as possible.
    • If we cannot facilitate the new proposed date, then any payment that has been made towards that visit will be refunded.

ALTERATION:

We at TR Mascots want to make your visit as perfect as possible, so if you have any last minute requests please do not hesitate to ask! Just bear in mind, we may have other visits scheduled and if time doesn’t allow change then we are not able to risk another person’s time slot. Character changes are based on availability and can not be guaranteed.

LATENESS:

  • We will always try to attend our visits on time, however situations do arise.
    • The agreed duration of the party will be met even if our arrival is late.
    • When our actors arrive and things aren’t ready yet, speak with the actor. If waiting is possible and they are willing then the actor can wait an agreed amount of time.
    • If there is no leniency then the actor must start. If they are held back from starting then it will be taken out of your duration. The party MUST end at the agreed time otherwise it may affect another party

INSURANCE:

  • TR Mascots are not always liable for all accidents that occur during said event.
  • The Client accepts all liability when booking an event with TR Mascots.
  • Any lost, broken, damaged or destroyed equipment will be charged to the Client at full replacement value (e.g: speaker, microphone, dress, activities, posters) if damaged due to mistreatment while at the Client’s premises.
  • The person wearing the mascot (Tom Peters) carries Public Liability Insurance to a maximum value of £2,000,000 where the Mascot is at fault during the booking. (a copy of this insurance can be downloaded by clicking here)

LIABILITY TO THIRD PARTIES:

  • We strictly provide entertainment.
  • Please be aware that children need to be supervised at all times.
  • We will not be held responsible for supervision of any children in attendance at the event.
  • If any child is conducting violent/unacceptable behaviour, the actor will inform the client, it is then the client’s duty to handle the situation. If the behaviour continues it will be reported a second time. TR Mascots Actors are fully within their right to leave parties early if they are uncomfortable/harmed in any way.
  • TR Mascots will not be liable for any claim for personal injury or death, loss or damage to the property unless caused directly by our Mascots.
  • TR Mascots have the final decision in all matters relating to these Terms & Conditions.

The Client agrees to:

  • Pay the booking deposit as agreed with the Company. The booking will only be operative upon receipt of the deposit by the Company.
  • Pay any balance due to the Company no later than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the event/party.
  • In the event the booking is cancelled/rescheduled all terms above must be followed.

Prior to the commencement of the event/party the Client must:

  • Provide the Company with clear directions indicating the location of the agreed site and/or post code of the venue – (certain cases additional petrol payment will be required from client)
  • Obtain all necessary permits and/or licences from any Government Authorities (include but not limited to Local Council, Police Service and Fire Service) as necessary for the duration of the period of service. Any and all costs associated with obtaining such permits will be payable by the Client. Should any delay or cancellation of the hire occur in relation to such permits, all fees or other associated expenses will be payable by the Client. All requirements pertinent to such permits and/or licences must be notified to the Company in writing no less than 30 days prior to the set-up date. In the event these requirements delay or result in the Company being unable to perform its obligations, the Company shall notify the Client and the agreement shall be deemed void.
  • The company is responsible for the Equipment for the duration of the period of hire, however, any damages to the equipment during the event/party the client will be held responsible
  • The Client will be responsible for all expenses, losses, damages, and/or claims suffered during the period of hire arising from any negligence, omission or fault of the Client and/or any such claims, or reimburse the Company for any losses or damages to the Equipment.
  • The Client agrees to immediately report any theft of the Equipment to the local Police Service and to the Company.
  • The Client agrees to use the Equipment for purposes only that accord with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site is located.
  • The Client agrees not to deface or tamper with the Equipment including, but not limited to, affixing any object to the Equipment.
